<p>For <code>GeanyObject</code>, it seems like one could use <a href="https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GTK%2B/DocumentationSyntax#Signals">signal doc-comments</a> and annotations to guide GIR scanner, though I have no idea if it actually would.</p>
