<p>If a language can use an existing lexer it can be simply a <a href="http://www.geany.org/manual/current/index.html#custom-filetypes">custom filetype</a> which does not need any code changes in Geany, just its <code>filetype.Scheme.conf</code> file and adjustments to <code>filetype_extensions.conf</code>.  See for example Clojure.</p>
