When I said I'm unsure about XDG_CACHCE_DIR this means:
1) it doesn't mean .session and .geany is next to each other
2) even if it was, you could add .session to .gitignore but .project not
3) you can still convince me, basically I'm undecided between `~/.cache/geany/sessions/` and `~/.config/geany/sessions/`
