[Github-comments] [geany/geany] Plugin preferences greyed out on new install of geany on Linux mint (#2762)

geany installed using MINT software  manager.
Geany plugins installed as per geany plugin install guidance fro Ubuntu
sudo apt-get install geany-plugins
