Enabling the UTF locale beta setting is a viable workaround for me.

Looks like that checkbox has caused problems with other apps [for some people](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/56419639/what-does-beta-use-unicode-utf-8-for-worldwide-language-support-actually-do#:~:text=In%20some%20Windows%2010%20builds%20%28insiders%20starting%20April,Language%20Settings%22%20This%20is%20what%20it%20looks%20like%3A), so worth keeping an eye on.

Works for me so far though.
