@torsten-rupp thanks for this, hopefully somebody will get a chance to try it and review it.  It doesn't have to be one of the Geany devs, __anybody__ can check formatting and build and test it and post a review and any problems, or hopefully that it works just fine for them.  Waiting for a dev may take some time.
