It literally means "go to line", so it's just the direct translation.

As I wrote, on the keybindings dialog it says, for example, "<Primary>l" or, after my most recent change, "<Primary>F7".

<Primary>l would work, if I assign it to a different action. For instance, I assigned it to the action "Drucken", and pressing Strg-L now brings up the print menu, as expected. The problem is certainly not the key itself.
