`XMODIFIERS="@im=none" geany`
produces
`Gdk-Message: ... : Window ... is a temporary window without parent, application will not be able to position it on screen.`
dead keys still lost.

`GDK_BACKEND=x11 geany`
runs geany fine (no dead key lost).
