Huh. This bug really sucks as I am also too fast for Geany 1.32 running in xfce.
When a new empty tab is created, only those messages are added to debug log: 
15:34:31: Geany INFO		: unknown : None (UTF-8)
15:34:31: Geany INFO		: unknown : None (UTF-8)
etc.
