[Github-comments] [geany/geany] Support for remote files without gvfs-fuse or fuse (#1414)

Forgot to mention how I was testing - I uninstalled gvfs-fuse and fuse, created the smallest $5 linode instance (without any configuration), entered

```
sftp://root@server_ip/root/
```

into Thunar on my linux mint where I logged in and then tested document creation, editing, project creation etc. with the remote location. I can create a new account for anyone who wants to test.
