[Github-comments] [geany/geany] Create projects in existing folders (#1311)

Geany does not limit where you place your files.  The project creation dialog suggests a "project" directory as a default, but you can change it to anything.

You can also change the default in "menu->Edit->Preferences->General->Startup->Project Files"
