[Github-comments] [geany] Selecting whole lines (#800)

With a selection made using using shift+down arrow one might or might not
have chosen to select all of the first line and all of the last line, but
all the interior lines are fully selected regardless.  If one's attention
wanders away and then returns, one has to re-establish the exact situation
visually be glancing at the first line and at the last line to see whether
they match the interior lines or not.  Although skilled programmers can and
will do this almost subconsciously, it still takes mental effort that I
believe would be better expended on the programming task at hand.  The
block select highlighting suggested, would, I think, reduce this additional
mental processing burden a little.

One of </b>Geany's</b> many strengths is its striking visual beauty which
maximizes rapid communication about the current state of the edit with the
programmer's internal conception thereof.  Although the time saved during
each return of their attention from looking away is small it should be
multiplied by the frequency with which this information needs to be
reintegrated into the programmer's mind through a busy working day full of
many interruptions during which one might spend many hours working with
<b>Geany</b> - its that good!
