Well, the source at
http://hg.python.org/cpython/file/2.7/Lib/py_compile.py line 47
suggests there are more possible error types though I can't remember to
ever have seen anything else when compiling.

But yeah, wiki'ing (heh, nice word) is a good idea. I'll write
