If we just want a Git repo, even SF.net can provide it.  And if Allura
happens to be available at a time (waiting forward to see what it can
give, but don't seem to be for tomorrow :() it might provide some people
are searching for: personal clones, pull requests, BTS integration, etc.

Without knowing these two DVCS correctly, I'm not fond of switching to
something else than Git -- even though they are probably both "better"
than SVN.
I never saw any valuable argumentation why Mercurial was a better
alternative than Git, and even less for Bazaar.
