Well, mixing "full-time" automatic ordering with manual ordering would
be a problem, but there could be some command to do a one-time sort,
which would still be helpful for some users with tons of open files.
If not built in to Geany, then perhaps this could be a plugin or
something.

Setting) would be to have full-time automatic ordering be a user
preference.

Yes a one-shot menu item would be a mere matter of programming, but somebodys got to do it, patches are welcome.
