By all means - the insights of someone who's been doing this since before StarWars (that's '77, for you young 'uns) are always worth listening to. But i was certainly unclear in my reference to "40+ years" - i was referring roughly to age of the modern computing era, which (since i'm a Unixite) starts at midnight, 1 January 1970.
