Hi all, thanks for replying.
I'm on a laptop keyboard, with no numeric keypad, so I've no NUM LOCK/0 to try.
You can tell if you're in INS or OVR mode on the status line on the bottom of the window.
I tried all the recommendations for Fn and ⌘ key combos, but none of them work. The Accessibility Keyboard/Keyboard Viewer has a numeric keypad, but it only works as expected (0=0 appears).
Regards, Mark

That reminds me. The zero key on my numpad acts as an Insert key when
the numpad is disabled. I've hit that by accident at times.
