It I set Message window / Position: Right
then there will be a big empty grey area on the screen (below the "Messages" label, a wide column).
Is it always present?
It would be great if it was eliminable.

you can put the tabs to the top/bottom of the message window in Preferences->Interface->Notebook Tabs so the tabs aren't on the left and there isn't the empty space.
