I'm pretty sure they are implemented independently, so changing just the Ctrl-Tab (switch to last document) from a 2-buffer to an n-buffer (n being the amount of open documents) should not affect code navigation.

If code navigation will work only per document, I guess I won't be able to use geany as text editor for programming any longer. Global navigation is one of must have features to me.
