When a line is long and contains no whitespace except near the beginning, a strange empty line is displayed before it. The screenshot below illustrates the problem at the lines numbered as 1 and 3. At line 1, there is just one space character between the character `A` and the word `qwerty`, but `qwerty` is not displayed on the same line. Line 2 is fine because too short to undergo line wrapping, line 2 is there for comparison with line 3. Lines 2 and 3 begin with just 4 spaces, yet line 3 is displayed with an empty line at the beginning.
