Since GTK+ 3.20 the scrollbar does not update or only updates erratically. This affects the editor window and doesn't happen for all files.
I bisected a specific gtk commit and will also open a bug report there.

The history on that upstream bug seems to indicate that there's a workaround in GTK+ 3.20.7 and up, but _not_ in any 3.22 version (where the problem also occurs).
This should be fixed in GTK+ 3.22.8, though I haven't confirmed it personally.
I *think* this is related. Can anybody confirm? Here a screencast https://cloud.thecrowned.org/index.php/s/Dyxrnxj5oe46KRH makes it virtually impossible to scroll again, unless I resize the window.
