Mouse wheel scrolling in Scintilla for GTK implements scrolling 'intensity' which appears to accelerate scrolling to make it easier to scroll swiftly to distant areas. This is very old code that was originally just for Win32 and may not work well with high resolution devices like touchpads emulating scroll wheels.
