Can't reproduce on Windows, recent git:
15:47:20: Geany INFO : Geany 1.36, English_United Kingdom.1252
15:47:20: Geany INFO : GTK 2.24.32, GLib 2.60.6
I even tried to reproduce with drmemory.org, no mention of ctags files.
