PR #747 provides [CommonMark](http://commonmark.org/) support, futher extensions should be discussed within that project (ex. [this](https://talk.commonmark.org/t/tables-in-pure-markdown/81) and [this](https://github.com/commonmark/CommonMark/issues/73)).
