Ah that makes sense thank you. I didn't really expect xfce4-terminal to use a single instance by default like eg Firefox and Geany. So this can just be solved by adding --disable-server
to the terminal tool option, but could it also be solved by having Geany close the Geany wrapper script instead of the terminal?
