@techee and probably it doesn't even read any startup files since it is being invoked as a non- interactive shell without --login.

Yeah, right, it reads .bashrc in this case which is often sourced by .bash_profile so you can define the environment variables just once.

Maybe we should standardise on csh or tsh ... just kidding :)
