The last screenshot shows you have mixed line endings, the screen shows CRLFs but Geany is in LF mode?

But having CR before the LFs should not stop the line ends being recognised.

What if you do Document->Set Line Endings->Convert and set to <whatever is NOT selected> to make the document consistent.

Also how big in bytes is your file?
