(This leaves open the question: "how do you decide if a theme is light or dark automatically?" -- I guess probably looking at the default background and foreground colors, but comparing color brightness is a bit tricky...)
Yes, that was never resolved in previous discussions.
Even simply adding "-light" and "-dark" to the colour scheme name would be useful, but it needs to be agreed and applied consistently. Then light and dark themes should sort side by side and be obvious which is which. Or adding "dark-" and "light-" to the start of the name will sort them in blocks. So let the 🚲 🏠 begin ... 😁
I would also recommend getting your computer glasses checked (makes note for self to do so ...).
