That was it...thank you! On the freedesktop.org tree view, I right-clicked on the HTML link to the aff and dic files thinking they would just download in whatever native (text) format. I had to first open the aff and dic files in a browser page, view thema as plain text and then save them. Now it works. Thank you for your help!
