@elextr your summarize is correct, but some things in C++ can be resolved.
for example from version 3.5 of my patch, it don't highlight object initialization that i mention in this post #1231 (comment)

to resolve that i also control parameters of function,
if parameters format not equal to (type A,type B, ...) then it not declaration, with some other signs object initialization is recognized and not highlighted
