Maybe, as mentioned in #2245, we could rename "Project -> New..." to "Project -> New from folder..." so it's clear what the initial directory selection dialog is.

I am against renaming and changing the behavior of the existing menu item. Users should not be required to select the folder first. There are cases where the folder may not be known at the time of project creation (eg, has not been cloned from git yet).

I suggested adding a new menu item earlier.
