I installed xombrero (it is also based on WebKit) and had the same crash when pressed 'inspect element'.
So, I googled the issue and understood that it is not WebHelper's fault. It is a rare problem of some linux x32 machines (mostly debian).
Though I couldn't find the solution, You should feel free to remove this issue from here, because it is not concerned to wonderful geany and its plugins. Sorry and TY.
