They won't, it requires some obscure command like:
/Users/me/Applications/Geany.app/some/subdirs/bin/geany -c XXXSuch kind of users will figure out copying a keybindings.conf file or customizing shortcuts via the GUI. If a simple hack can work for 99% of users, it's worthwhile until a proper fix.
