I would really appreciate it if Geany could support auto-close angle brackets. They are pervasively used in C++.

Hi, I'm looking for a solution to create a file tags with multi funtion, The problem is after whitespace the function losted.
**Example** :
fun **X**d (x......)
fun **X**b (.y.....)
fun **X**r (z......)
so with this example after withspace I lose Fun function, and auto complete start with **X**
Yes we can use _ but build a long file with keywords, function with similarity over a long period , won't be very clear.

Might it be possible to have Geany communicate with
https://github.com/eclipse/eclipse.jdt.ls
to get accurate suggestions for methods that can be called after a reference or class name?
I start a lot of new programmers off with Geany + Java so this would be a powerful combination. At the moment they tend to use VS by default : I would like to be able to offer them this feature as a compelling reason to use Geany instead of VS because Geany is much better than VS except in this one area.

Not exclusively, some devs guys are hanging around and also a few dozens of regular users as well as casual users to ask their questions.
I didn't make a list but I think some of the previous regular IRC users are now also in the Matrix channel.

The listed projects probably have a quite disjunct community from Geany, I'd say. And as said above, the Matrix channel is already used by some people, so there is no real need to spend time and efforts in changing the chat software again(!).
Most importantly, unlike Matrix is Discord proprietary software and at least for me this would be a full no-go.

Yes I know that's why I prefer discord. It could help to grow the community of Geany because you can make announcements/update news like new releases and bug fixes.

I think Geany should have a discord server instead of matrix server because most people & open source organizations like vue, laravel, electron, they use discord as their community server & conversation platform. And now Geany's matrix server looks dying bruh, so I prefer to have a discord server instead. It would help Geany having a larger community in the future.

Hey guys, for those who using Geany on Windows OS and want a dark theme ui like monokai theme, you can just clone my repo [Geany-WebDev-Snippets](https://github.com/zhaolinlau/Geany-WebDev-Snippets) and go to `Geany-WebDev-Snippets -> themes -> monokai`, then drag the whole `gtk-3.0` folder to your `C:\Users\Win10\AppData\Local`.
After that, your Geany will be transform from this

And I will add more themes to my repo in the future.

I just pulled and built master, and installed it over my previous (olde…) 1.38 (git >= 75d3c9f12) (my head was actually at 11a1f32fd490b3918d069f0d05cca5bbc6c4b5ad, not 100% sure what was really installed, but it ough to be very close to 1.38).
Anyway, when restarting Geany, it didn't restore any file from my session. I see *No user session file found, trying to use configuration file.* but nothing gets loaded then, although my *geany.conf* does 120 `FILE_NAME_%d` entries.
I didn't investigate yet and unfortunately don't have time to right now, but I guess it has to do with session-split not properly falling back somehow.
