Geany 1.38 "Sulamar" (built on or after 2022-04-24) Using GTK+ v3.24.34 and GLib v2.72.3 runtime libraries
With workbench I can only create or close projects. The instructions for adding directories or files (via context menu) does not work.

I am using Geany with Python files.
Today I tried the projects feature the first time. And I assume I misunderstand its intention.
Right clicking into the code on a method or function I can find it's declaration in another file **when this file is open** in another tap.
But when the file with the declaration is not open the declaration is not found. That file also dissapear from the side panels project tree.
I would have expected that the "project" does remember which files belong to it. And when I search for a declaration the search is done over all files from the project **no matter if they are currently open or not**.
Is this possible?

When editing a document in (soft) Line wrapping mode (the document line that is longer than the screen width is spread over multiple display lines while keeping the same line number), the End key takes you to the end of the document line. This is understandable, but it keeps being unexpected while editing in the middle of a document line...
My proposal is just to change the defaults:
End = "go to the end of the display line", Alt-End = "go to the end of the document line", Home = "go to the beginning of the display line", and Alt-Home = "go to the beginning of the document line"
When not in Line Wrapping mode, it still works the same, but when in Line Wrapping mode, it's more intuitive.

In gentoo Git Change Bar plugin doesn't work anymore. I have built geany-1.38 and geany-plugins-1.38-r1 and libgit2 is dev-libs/libgit2-1.3.2
The plugin doesn't show any color mark in bar and no contextual menu while modified lines are selected.

So sorry if not really Geany, but its **addon** (plugin) instead (can't find the forum to properly ask)
Is there as good as `git diff ` algorithm plugin that is capable of comparing two UTF-8 text files pretty fast?

I recently purchased a new I5 laptop and installed Ubuntu 22.04 and Geany 1.38 on it. I can no longer open Python script files that are stored on My Raspberry Pi server. I also installed Linux Mint on the laptop and that was able to open the files with Geany. I found an article about using Filezilla to open the files but that was a slow process as Filezilla created a temp file and when I saved changes to it it had to write it back to the server again, another slow process.
I installed Geany on the server and can now open them when I SSH to the server. The problem is that the RPi is very slow in processing them.
Any ideas on how I can get Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi and Geany to work together?
Thanks.
