Hi, I've made changes that allow for keeping the fold margin non-visible, but still be able to fold code (eg. via the shortcuts).
UI Additions:
- "Show fold margin" in Preferences > Editor > Display.
- "Show fold margin" in the View menu.
If code folding is disabled:
- The 1st UI addition becomes greyed out, similarly to "Fold/unfold all children of a fold point"
- The 2nd UI addition disappears, similarly to "Fold/Unfold All" in the Document menu.
Furthermore, if the code folding option is disabled and it becomes enabled, "Show fold margin" is automatically enabled. The rationale is to avoid confusing someone that enabled folding, but is not seeing any fold margin.
Finally, in the 2nd commit, which is actually not directly related to the above additions, I've added some logic to automatically unfold all code when switching off folding. Without it, already folded code will remain in the folded state with no option to unfold it without re-enabling the option. Should I make a different PR for this? (asusming it even is desired!)
Also, should I or would you suggest that I also modify the manual to document the additions?
Should I add something about the new UI options in the language/translation files?

Hi.
I would like to have a button or shortcut that lets me filter the files I see in the open file pane by pressing the first letter. I have ~1000 files open and I am very happy to see that the editor can handle that many files I just need a bit of help from the UI in order to jump to the right file.
Thank you for creating the best editor for coding in Vala.

Bug: geany is turning the top open { bracket blue instead of the second open bracket #`{ blue when the first close bracket } is highlighted.
This bug really makes find missing closing brackets a pain in the neck!

Previously the file path could be pasted in a file dialog.
With the new nice-looking OSX file dialog in Geany 1.36, this feature is no longer there. Standard behavior in OSX is "Command-Shift G" to bring up the path dialog. It would be super great if this expected OSX behavior was implemented also in Geany

This PR adds an option to hide the menubar at startup and a keybinding to toggle menubar visibility. Addresses #633.
Currently, there is no default keybinding set to toggle the menubar. This complicates reshowing the menubar if it is hidden at startup. A common key combination to toggle menubar visibility is `<Primary>m`, but that is already being used to toggle markers. Should the keybinding be reassigned? If not, what other keybinding should be used?
