As per #267 we agreed that this pref makes little sense. Especially
as we're considering to move the project session files to a completely
separate file (so neither geany.conf nor $project.geany).
Currently, if not checked, the project session files would be stored
in the (new) session.conf file, overwriting the non-project session.
This is what #267 is about.

Apologies if this is already open, couldn't spot a relevant ticket mentioning "tab" and "save".
Also apologies if this seems basic, and I realise the save options are on the main file menu and the main one has the usual keyboard shortcut -- I'm just used to right-clicking on tabs to perform file operations in other editors, and the tab right-click menu in Geany [1.37.1] already has Open and Close actions on it. Could it perhaps have the other key file operations between them, please?

I have no 3rd party plugin activated. This is pure Geany. :)
But it is great that Geany does recognise the signatures of Python functions and methods while typing them somewhere. Geany then shows me the signature (all parameters) in an extra small window beside the cursor. Sorry I missed the correct term for that.
This works for signatures like that:
```Python
def parallize_data_frame_job_by_pool(df, worker_func, worker_args=None, n_cores=None):
pass
```
But not for that:
```Python
def parallize_data_frame_job_by_pool(df,
worker_func,
worker_args=None, # tuple(),
n_cores=None):
```
In the last case Geany only shows me `parallize_data_frame_job_by_pool(df`.

On macOS 12.2.1 Monterey, Intel processor and AMD FirePro D300 graphics card, Geany 1.38 shows only a black app area. Pulling up the 'About...' dialog only shows a title bar with nothing below it. Please see attachment.

Geany 1.3.7.1 does _not_ have this issue and works fine on macOS Monterey.

1. Create a file in /tmp
2. Try to do a diff/* for that file

This is an already reported issue here https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/1376, I am using a dark theme in my machine and when a program returns a compiling error, it becomes hard to read those error with dark theme enabled. Please add a way to change the font and foreground/background color of the compiler tab similar to the vte's terminal.

Remove deprecated symbol `tm_get_real_path()` from `tagmanager/tm_source_file.c`. It is replaced with `utils_get_real_path()` in `utils.c`. Not used by any known plugins. See #3019.

Recreated #3003 which was closed for some reason
Move search positions and layout to session.conf
This will remember the x,y positions as well as the find/replace
dialog expanders as part of session.conf.
To implemenet this, a new interface configuration_add_session_group()
is created that connects a StashGroup to session.conf.

What is the best way to get YAML front matter syntax highlighting to work? I have tried adding the identifiers tag to the filetypes.markdown file but it doesn't appear to be picked up. Is this something that can be changed by adjusting some things in filetypes and the colorscheme?

Hello! I use Geany daily. It sometimes crashes when I edit a Pascal source file. I have just found a modification that makes Geany crash. I attach the file. Geany crashed when I added the comment (`{ ... }`).
I opened the document with another editor and add the comment. Then, if I try to open the document with Geany, it crashes.
I am on Linux. It's Geany 1.37.1.
