Some VTE versions crash if paste is activated with the cursor outside the window, bind VTE paste to innocuous "Properties" so it will override VTE paste outside the VTE window.

mistake 1
geany is opened; a document is opened; spellcheck-symbol is deactivated;
click spellcheck-symbol; some words are marked;
now close geany; reopen the document; document appears in geany; spellcheck-symbol is still activated;
problem:
words are not marked although spellcheck-symbol is activated; the spellcheck-symbol need to be clicked 2x to let appear the markings;
possible solution:
if spellcheck-symbol is activated, then the markings should be visible
mistake 2

now use the shortcut "execute spellcheck" (or something like that; I don't use the English version);
problem:
he shortcut works but the spellcheck-symbol stays deactivated;
possible solution:
spellcheck-symbol should also be activated

press 2x the shortcut "spellcheck on/off" (or something like that; I don't use the English version);

shortcut works, but only for words which will be used after the shortcut; current markings do not go away;
possible solution:
the text of the spellcheck-symbol is exactly the same like the shortcut, so they
should have the same behavior: on/off of ALL markings

Hi, I just lost some work because Geany crashed when I accidentally pressed `Ctrl+Shift+V` :sob:
Here is the terminal output:

This is a very newbie question, I suppose, but why the cursor is not moved to the search box on CTRL-F?
Other programs normally move the cursor to the search box allowing to type in the phrase to search for while by default geany leaves the cursor inside the code window and this is not good. Is there a way to change this behavior?

In the yellow screen only all(v) is shown following which geany hangs and crashes.

When I start Geany, and then switch to another window and back, Geany stops redrawing its canvas, I see only the empty OS frame with underlying content:
Then, if I slightly resize the window, or maximize/normalize, it redraws itself, and after that works fine - until the next restart. :) Must be a GTK problem?
BTW, how can I install a nightly build under Windows? It doesn't work, complains at missing functions in libs. Tried to install MSYS2, but it doesn't work either. :)
OS: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate, QHD display (2560x1440), scaling 150%.

Hi,
How would I go about porting a theme (Material) to Geany?
Can I just take an annotated .conf file (is there one explaining entries?) and change the values?
Probably naive, but I've got to start somewhere :)

1. Blank Geany state (No files opened)
2. Close Geany
3. Open Geany and open a file
4. Shutdown or restart your computer
5. The state of which files are opened is not saved
