Hi,
The message window has a problem with dark mode. The text color remains dark blue and dark red, which is hardly readable on a dark background:

Geany version : geany 1.35 (built on 2019-07-01 with GTK 3.24.8, GLib 2.60.2)
I am running Manjaro KDE, and have tested with breeze-dark, adwaita-dark and Materia themes. The result is the same in all cases.

Hi, i know, the function of opening and closing functions with clicking on the small sidebar is a very useful feature, i myself use it only accidentally. Mostly i am working on php functions in the body tag, i hit the border and the whole body-tag is closed. After reopening i have to search the position of the function.
Is it possible to hide this small sidebar with unchecking a checkbox in the "View"-Menu.
Since years i was using pspad in windows but now i need an editor which is available for windows, Linux and Raspbian und so is geany my editor of choice.
Thank you

it would be nice to have a quick acces to a integrated theme editor. The themes are nice, i use the standard theme but the the corresponding curly brackets are often hard to see so i would like to change only that. If i could change the theme so it would be nice if i can easy transfer the theme to geany on windows / Linux Mint / Raspberry Pi Raspbian.

the color-selector works well but i miss predefined color-palettes like in the pspad-editor (web-safe colors, greyscales ...) where i can click on the color of a predefined palette so i have always the same color.

`utils_free_pointers()` has a clear name, but requires a leading count of pointers, which could be too big or too small, and a trailing NULL, to try to detect if the count is too big.
I realized now we require C99, we can solve all these issues with a macro:
```c
#define FREE_EACH(...) do { \
void *_arr[] = {__VA_ARGS__}; \
for (guint _i = 0; _i < G_N_ELEMENTS(_arr); _i++) \
g_free(_arr[_i]); \
} while (0)
```
Shall I make a PR?

The macros were used to generate the key string to use in the [build-menu] setting of each keyfile.
* Use one function to set both the group and command index, encapsulating the `sprintf(cmdbuf` code.
* Use a separate function to set the field of the command, as this is needed 3 times per command. This takes a GEANY_BC_* value instead of a string literal for clarity.
* Merge 2 for loops.
(This also makes 2 global scope string arrays into local arrays).

When customizing the toolbars if you drag an item into a vertical toolbar it inserts well above the cursor position.

on ubuntu 18.04 after added : sudo add-apt-repository ppa:geany-dev/ppa
an apt update will install 1.33 geany-plugins except for git-changebar that is broken:
```
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
geany-plugin-git-changebar : Depends: libgit2-24 (>= 0.24.0) but it is not installable
