I believe formerly in 121 or around there, editing of files was allowed Im not sure what happened, but this seems to be the case no longer Pluma, does this operation just fine, as does libre office, and some other file editors When I try to explicitly run geany to open a file across the network, geany will open but the file will not The types of connections
Here it is working in pluma, which is what I would like to see fixed in geany Pluma is a fine text editor, but I like Geany far more

This implements working directories in the geanyprj plugin.
The motivation is to be able to 'make' via build menu shortcut within Geany when the project is set up with CMake and uses some far away build directory.
It syncs with Geany's own build menu working directories, while giving precedence to the main project system.
Comments/improvements welcome.

Geany Dev,
It would be very useful to have a `Toggle Line Numbers` hook in keyboard shortcuts to allow assigning a key-combination. It is currently available in the `View` menu as `Show Line Numbers`, but there is no associated hook in keyboard shortcuts. It's a 'nice to have' feature.

I would like to request a feature to allow named groups (or backreferences to more than 9 numbered groups).
A ticket on sourceforge [1] says (regarding replacement):
> "Geany is limited to 9 groups in regular expressions. If you try to use a group after the 10th, it is replaced with the first group and the second digit of the group number. For example, if the group 1 is "first" and the 10 group is "tenth", \10 is replaced as "first0".
It seems that it is not possible to reference more than 9 numbered capture groups in the regular expression _replace_ field, even though Geany allows it in the regex _search_ field. In the search field, \10 is recognized correctly.

Please document that automark uses the **marker_search** color.

i'm using arch linux. when i input chinese with ibus or fcitx, the candidate window do not follow the cursor. there is a similar issue submitted by a mac os user (https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/920).
i checked scintilla's code and found an option named “SCI_SETIMEINTERACTION” can fix this issue, by add:
`SSM(sci, SCI_SETIMEINTERACTION, 1, 0);`
into editor.c file's "`static ScintillaObject *create_new_sci(GeanyEditor *editor)` " function.
i compiled a patched version, and it works perfectly for me.
maybe you can add this in new release, or give a preference item let user choose.

Hoping this helps someone: I had a similar issue where I was getting a bunch of garbage in front of my terminal prompt in Geany.
Found this solution on stack overflow for the same issue but using pycharm : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41205437/set-up-path-on-prompt-on-pycha…
Since I also have iterm2 installed on my Macosx, I believe this was causing the issue.
How I resolved in Geany Terminal:
1. I created & saved a file **geany_terminal.sh** and saved it in my home folder. copied my desired PS1 and CLICOLOR settings from my .bash_profile:
```
export PROMT_COMMAND=
export PS1='\[\e[1;32m\][\u@\h \W] \D{%F %T}\n\$\[\e[0m\]'
export CLICOLOR=1
export LSCOLORS=gxBxhxDxfxhxhxhxhxcxcx
bash -i
```
2. Then I went to 'Edit -> Preferences --> Terminal' and set my 'Shell' to:
/bin/bash /Users/myusername/geany_terminal.sh
Upon reloading Geany, the Terminal now displays with PS1 and CLICOLOR settings exactly as I have set in my .bash_profile without garbage in front.
