Maybe attach the Geany Vala Toys[1] ?
Especially the plugin GVT Project.

Currently it works only GTK+ 2.

Is there something that describes how to go about adding a plugin to geany-plugins? That describes the build system requirements for non-autotools experts etc.

I couldn't find anything.
